Tessa was beyond beloved by her humans, Deena & Doug Sasser. Our grief over her unexpected passing is immense, as she has left a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled. Tessa chose me. I was not yet ready to add another kitty to our house, but she had other ideas. >From her adoption crate she reached out a grabby paw and cried out her sweet, high pitched “hew!” and I was instantly smitten. One week later, she came home to live with me and her new furbrother, Tommy. We later added another human and another fursister, and we became a family. All who met you were charmed–well, except your furry siblings. You endured our many moves with a cautious curiosity, and you charmed the socks off of people when you chased them around the dining room begging for a bite of their frozen yogurt! Your antics made you Facebook-famous among our friends and family. The way you would sit and look for me to come home, cry when I would leave, keep me company in the bath or when I was recovering from surgery, protect us from strange outdoor kitties, look at a deer like you and all of your barely 10 pounds could take it, and just the wonderful, mischievous way you kept us laughing–these are the things that made you so very special. Nothing will ever replace your spirit, for you were one of a kind. We love you forever, baby girl.
