Lady crossed over the rainbow bridge, Friday, October 5th, 2018. She will be greatly missed by her foster mom Molly Prater and by the staff and volunteers at the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center. Although we don’t know Lady’s story prior to coming to the shelter, we do know she quickly became a volunteer and staff favorite.
Lady got to enjoy many bucket list activities before her passing. Volunteers took her to get Starbucks puppuccinos, and she got to take several leisurely strolls at the Duck Pond and Pandapas Pond. She also got to enjoy many treats, including her favorite, chicken nuggets.
Lady enjoyed snoozing on the couch and her daily walks with Molly. She was an independent gal. Walks with Lady would often take longer than anticipated because she would go where she wanted to go and not always where she was supposed to go. Car rides were her favorite, and she loved to feel the breeze and let her ears flap in the wind.
Lady didn’t know a stranger and she enjoyed being greeted by all. She was known to roll over for you to give her a belly rub which she enjoyed immensely.
We are thankful to the staff at All For Paws Animal Clinic for taking such good care of Lady. We would also like to thank Star Country and David Lee Michaels for having Lady be a part of the Senior Pet Project and being an advocate for senior pets. A special thanks to Oakey’s Pet Funeral Home and Crematory for donating their services for Ms. Lady.
