Rahab Sasser

About 17 years ago Rahab was discovered on a dark and stormy night. A kind woman was able to catch her because she could not run as fast as her siblings. This woman’s vet told her she knew someone looking for a cat. I trusted my vet friend and said I would take her. She was brought to my apartment before I ever saw what she looked like. She quickly made herself at home. Most of the time she was in my lap when I was reading or watching television. Then she would sleep next to me in the bed every night. Rahab bonded with me and was slow to warm to my wife and her cats. During this last year, Rahab learned to enjoy my wife’s lap and that made them both very happy. Rahab spent her last night on earth sitting on my lap while I watched television. That was her favorite place to be and where I loved having her.
