Sydney “Sid” Brunk

Feb 15, 2014 – July 1, 2019

It is no accident or coincidence that “dog” is “God” spelled backward. Dogs offer unconditional love, much more than we deserve, and all we have to do is accept the gift. Dogs don’t care if we’re ugly, rich, smart, or popular. They care only that we get through this life reassured that love is out there for each of us.  When I look into the eyes of an animal I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.

After a long day at work, the only thing you need is a good laugh and dogs provide exactly that and beyond. Their goofy personalities are always there to produce a good laugh and there’s no better feeling than being greeted with the dog you call your own.

True love exists and dogs are proof of this. From the moment both of your eyes lock, there is no going back. Their life will forever revolve around you from then on.

If I could be half the person Sid was, I’d be twice the human I am.

Thank you for being engrained in my heart and our hearts as a friend and companion.

I’m gonna miss you, Sid, you were my sunshine.
