Bentley Hastings

On July 4, 2021, with tears in our eyes and pain in our hearts, we sent our sweet standard poodle to his forever reward. Bentley had been with us for 14 wonderful years. He showed us, unconditional love, every day. We got him when he was a 7-week old bundle of red fur and laid him to rest nine days shy of his 14th birthday after he was unable to walk. He gave us beautiful memories of chasing frisbees, playing with his sister Ginger next door, and chasing the geese out of our yard. This last task earned him the nickname “The Goosenator.” When people came to the house his ferocious bark let them know he was on guard until we told him it was ok. Then he could not control his “licker.” He definitely had a mischievous side, removing a crystal candy dish from the kitchen island to a stone tile floor, without a single crack or chip! He loved staying by my side no matter what I was doing and reminding me he was there. I will miss his kisses, stroking his fur, and listening to his gentle breathing as he slept beside our bed. His adopted brother, Aston, has big shoes to fill!

Goodbye sweet boy until we meet again.
