Ghost Tillotson

GHOST TILLOTSON

Tillotson, Ghost, 12 of Roanoke, VA formerly of Kingsport, went to the heavenly animal angels on Sunday, July 1, 2018.

Born in Oglethorpe, GA in 2006, he lived in Oglethorpe, GA while attending Oglethorpe University. After graduation in 2008, he moved to Kingsport to start getting ready for Medical School and where he developed a taste and love for bacon. He attended VCOM in Blacksburg, VA, where his master earned her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2013. They moved a short way to Roanoke for continued training and then settled there.

Ghost was very comfortable in his new abode and led a life of luxury. He ballooned up to almost 30 lbs, which alarmed his owner who brought him into the vet to begin a diet. However, his weight loss accelerated recently and it was then they realized there was something seriously wrong. Ghost was diagnosed with cancer a very short while before his passing.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Whitey and Crazy Kitty and his cousin, Pepsi.

Survivors include his loving master/mother, Cara Tillotson; her boy-friend, Jed McMunn; grandmother, Joann Lubrano and husband Greg; grandfather, Richard Tillotson and wife, Diane; sister, Oni Tillotson; brother, Six Tillotson; along with other extended family members.

He purred that he wanted his funeral to be private and to remember him whenever you eat bacon.

Cara wished to thank all the people who helped, cared for and loved Ghost, especially the last few days and weeks of his life.

Oakey’s Pet Funeral Home, Roanoke, VA conducted the services.
