Simply the Best
I am not sure when your life started, as you were picked up as a stray and spent a few months in a county shelter. You were code red when I reluctantly went to meet you. I honestly believe your sweet disposition, funny personality and fate are what kept you alive for so many months.
On December 30, 2011, your life began. You decided almost immediately that we were your family and from that day on, we never looked back.
We had many adventures through the years, from hikes and finding random spots for you to get in the water, to drives on the parkway where you once found a deer carcass to roll in. You were so proud of yourself that day.
You loved the beach, lying in the sun, chasing rabbits or chipmunks and smelling flowers as they bloomed in the spring. Your favorite time of year was Spring, when everything was new and coming alive. Some of my favorite memories were you digging up the yard looking for moles — the determination on your face and the way you would pounce when you heard them always made me laugh. Your response to seeing cows was hysterical and never got old.
You brought so much joy and love to my life. Your constant presence and the routine you brought to my days are what I miss the most. You were etched into every aspect of our lives, and your absence is felt more as time passes.
There are no words to fully capture the life you lived, the happy, go-lucky, loving boy you were, or the amount of joy you brought into my life.
I am better now for who were, everything a friend should be.
