In Loving Memory of Pippin Michelle Tucei
(Pip, Pippy, Pippy Lip, Pipple, Grey Poupon, Pupper Lupper Dupper, Pippins Lippins, The Beautiful Peeeeple, Baby Lady Dog)
September 30, 2008 – May 14, 2025
Pippin, our beloved chihuahua mix, passed away peacefully at home at 16 years and 7 months of age. Small in size but huge in spirit, Pippin brought endless joy, laughter, and love into our lives every single day since her Gotcha Day on April 4, 2009 from Cedar Farm Rescue in Mocksville, NC, after being rescued from the Rowan County, NC Municipal Animal Shelter.
Pippin was more than a pet — she was family. For more than 15 years, Pippin was a constant companion, a loyal shadow, and a source of comfort and warmth. Whether she was curled up next to us on the couch or bed; going for long walks with us around our neighborhood; going on many adventures to Oak Island, NC, Lexington, KY, or Gatlinburg, TN; begging for treats like Grape Nuts or Cheez-Its with those expressive eyes; playing snippins the Pippins with her Dad; or performing one of her many amazing and cute tricks; Pippin’s personality was unforgettable.
She leaves behind countless memories and a home that feels a lot quieter without the sound of her tiny paws. Though she may be gone from our arms, she will forever live on in our hearts, and we know we will see our Baby Lady Dog again one day, waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.
Pippin is survived by her mom and dad, Julie and Brian Tucei; her canine sister, Lily; her feathered sister, Kazuri; and numerous human family and friends she met along the way. Pippin was preceded in death by her equine brother, RC Ramah.
Thank you, Pippin, for everything you did for us. Mom and Dad love you always.
