On Friday, February 6th, our Mighty Warrior started his new journey and entered the gates of Heaven. He will watch and wait for us as he runs, jumps and plays with those who have gone on before. I’m sure Gracie, Freya, Izzy and Darcy couldn’t wait to greet him and show him around. Zeus loved adventure and was never scared to try new things. He was small but Mighty. He was a protector and loved watching over all of us. He had to know where everyone was at all times and was the last one to lie his head down each night, making sure everyone was all tucked in. And now the last one to leave us. He had an inner clock like no one else and kept us all on time every day. Telling us it’s time for meals, snacks, outside and bedtime. How will we ever know what time it is now? He had many friends (human and animal) throughout his life and kept everyone straight. He always made sure everyone who entered his castle knew he was in charge and what and when to do things. He was a joy to watch because he loved life, always smiling. He inspired us every single day. He came to us broken and neglected and rose above it all to be a Mighty Warrior.
He leaves behind a Mom and Dad who love him more than anything and will miss him every day until they see him again.
Zeus loved swimming, opening presents, eating (you should have seen how excited he was at meal time and made sure we never forgot), laying in the sunshine, watching for Daddy to come home, going visiting and attacking his toys before meals, going for pup cups, doing the papaya dance, walking the fence, entertaining his doggie friends and bossing everyone around him. And he was the best brother to his sisters, he really loved them and missed them.
Zeus taught us so much. Get up each day and smile. Enjoy the sun on your face. Be thankful for every meal. Never be scared to try new things. And when you don’t feel good, don’t give up, get up and try, and then try harder. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. You’re never too little! Be grateful for every day. And live in every moment. And love with everything you got every single day!
Zeus, you are loved so much, little buddy and we will carry that love and all you taught us in our hearts every single day. When we think of you, we will always think Mighty. Thank you for letting us be your Mommy and Daddy, and all the love you shared with us. Until we see you again, little man, we love you with all our hearts!
